After a long and successful political career, President Biden has officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee. On Sunday evening, he tweeted his full support for Kamala, urging Democrats to come together to beat Trump.
The President also announced that he will not accept the nomination for another term, stating he wants to focus on his remaining time in office. Biden highlighted that his 2020 decision to choose Kamala Harris as his Vice President was one of his best.
The announcement received widespread support from many Americans who applauded Biden’s significant contributions to politics over the past fifty years. Political officials also rallied behind Harris, who quickly showed her capability by breaking a fundraising record with $81 million in just 24 hours after the endorsement.
Kamala Harris is focusing on key issues like the US health care system, women’s reproductive rights, education equity, climate change, and economic policies. Over the past four years, she has demonstrated her ability to co-lead the nation effectively.
During her time as Vice President, Harris has also made quite an impression with her fashion choices. At her swearing-in ceremony in 2021, she wore a striking purple coat by Christopher Rogers, along with pearls designed by Wilfredo Rosado. For the White House Correspondents Dinner in April 2023, she dazzled in a custom blue sequined gown by Sergio Hudson. At the State of the Union address, she wore a sophisticated maroon suit by Christian Siriano that conveyed strength and authority. And just yesterday, she made a stylish entrance to her campaign headquarters to the tune of Beyoncé’s “Freedom.”
Kamala Harris continues to lead with both substance and style as she moves forward in her campaign.
