If you thought the MSCHF Big Red Boots were over the top, New York-based brand Bravest Studios has released their new Bear Claw inspired mules, which have quickly become a must-have item.
Bravest Studios was started by Andrew Xu in 2002 as a passion project, and has since grown into a well-known brand with pop-up shops in New York, L.A., and Chicago. The brown mules are made from faux fur with leather lining and feature pointy steel claws, giving them a unique bear-like appearance. They come in a faux fur collector’s shoebox, which can also be used as stylish home decor.
Even though the popular $110 mules are already sold out and won’t be restocked anytime soon, opinions among fashion enthusiasts are mixed. Some, like @Chefresha on Instagram, think they look like “self-defense slippers,” while others like @acethelook expressed frustration, saying, “I’m upset. This is upsetting.” Celebrity stylist Harrison Crite described the $110 price tag as “a steal,” and wardrobe stylist Shun Melson simply said, “I love em.”
Despite some reservations, many trendsetters are all about these bold and creative mules, finding them whimsical and entirely unique. We’re sure that some of the most fashion-forward influencers have snagged a pair of these limited-edition shoes, and we’re excited to see how people will style them.
Whether you’re planning a camping trip or just want to add a standout piece to your wardrobe, these mules are sure to make any outfit pop.
