NYFW: Sally LaPointe Envisions the Ultimate Trendsetting Schoolgirl in Her 'Class of LaPointe 24' Collection

A yellow school bus with the bold lettering “LAPOINTE” pulled up to a loft-style building on Broadway in New York, dropping off some of the most stylish models, often considered “It-girls.” This scene set the stage for designer Sally LaPointe’s latest Fall ’24 Ready-To-Wear collection, which was all about the back-to-school vibe, aiming to make everyone the ‘best dressed.’ Judging by the runway looks, she definitely hit the mark.

LaPointe stayed true to her signature style, featuring rich monochromatic palettes and feather details on dresses, sleeves, and luxurious boleros. The collection also included various textural fabrics, making the outfits suitable for both day and night wear.

Though back-to-school wardrobes often bring to mind uniforms or dress codes, LaPointe’s version promoted individuality and the idea that to be memorable, one must stand out. Alongside classic colors like black and white, she introduced striking shades for Fall ’24, including neon green, baby blue, and peach, which definitely caught the eye.

The clothing itself was stunning, but the accessories were also on point. Studded and spiked backpacks, created in collaboration with the New York jewelry store Chrishabana, perfectly complemented the theme.
