Last night, Cardi B showed off a full Louis Vuitton monogram outfit, complete with matching monogrammed hair. This logo-emblazoned hair trend originally started in the ’90s thanks to trendsetters like Lil Kim and Misa Hylton. Misa once mentioned that combining colored hair and designer brands came naturally for Kim as it was a big part of her style.
Lil Kim would often be seen with hair featuring Versace and Chanel logos at fashion shows and photo shoots. This Hair Logo Mania trend has endured over the years, with modern stars like Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, and Cardi B putting their own spin on it. In 2017, Beyonce channeled Lil Kim’s 2001 Manhattan File cover for Halloween by wearing a blue wig with bangs, styled by Tokyo Stylez.
Nicki Minaj sported Fendi-printed hair in 2019 while promoting her collaboration with the brand. This blonde bob with Fendi’s signature “F’s” in pink was created by Arrogant Tae, our 2019 Faby’s Award winner. More recently, Cardi B donned a blonde ponytail with the Louis Vuitton logo for a photoshoot, also styled by Tokyo Stylez. All these stars look amazing while paying homage to Lil Kim, the original queen of logo hair.
So, which logo-printed hairstyle do you think looks the best? Let us know.
