Fashion Headlines: Alessandro Michele, Formerly of Gucci, Takes Creative Helm at Valentino

Roman designer Alessandro Michele has been officially named the new Creative Director of Valentino, taking over from Pierpaolo Piccioli, who led the Italian fashion house for 25 years. Michele, who was previously the Creative Director of Gucci, brings extensive experience and skills to his new role and will debut his first collection at the September Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2025.

Over the years, Michele’s maximalist designs have attracted a celebrity fan base that includes Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Billie Eilish, and Harry Styles. His innovative style has certainly pushed the boundaries of fashion.

In the fashion industry, connections are crucial. Michele has collaborated with notable figures like Karl Lagerfeld, Tom Ford, and Silvia Venturini Fendi. He’ll also be working again with Valentino CEO Jacopo Venturini, with whom he previously teamed up at Gucci.

We are eagerly looking forward to seeing Michele’s modern approach and unique vision at Valentino’s highly anticipated show this September!
