The 82nd Golden Globe Awards kicked off the new year with a bang, celebrating the best in film and television from 2024 with dazzling looks from our favorite celebrities. Held at the Beverly Hilton and hosted by Nikki Glaser—the first solo female host—the evening was full of memorable moments.
Viola Davis took center stage, receiving the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award, while Demi Moore won her first acting award for her role in “The Substance.” On top of the awards, the red carpet was packed with stars making jaw-dropping entrances.
Zendaya was one of the night’s fashion highlights, showing off a massive diamond engagement ring and turning heads in a citrus orange satin gown by Louis Vuitton. Styled with a sage diamond Bulgari necklace, Zendaya paid homage to legendary figures like Diahann Carroll and Eartha Kitt, exuding old Hollywood glamour.
Gold was a popular choice this year with Mindy Kaling, Demi Moore, and Elle Fanning all opting for the radiant hue. Mindy’s gold strapless Ashi Studio gown was a standout, crafted from metal and adorned with silver tones. Demi, accepting her award in an Armani Prive, was a vision in one of her best looks yet. Elle Fanning mesmerized in a gold Balmain gown with a leopard v-neck corset, looking straight out of a fairy tale.
Morris Chestnut, who announced the nominations back in December 2024 with Mindy Kaling, showed up looking sharp in a red monochromatic suit by House of Grey, perfectly complementing his wife Pamela’s black velvet gown by Erica Moore.
The color of the evening, chocolate brown, was elegantly showcased by Zoe Saldana in a sequined Saint Laurent gown with a dramatic cape and Quinta Brunson in a velvet Roberto Cavalli dress that highlighted her curves.
Viola Davis was nothing short of angelic in a sequined Gucci gown as she accepted her Lifetime Achievement Award. Previously worn at the LACMA Art + Film Gala, the gown proved once again how powerful and transformative fashion can be.
Sheryl Lee Ralph wowed in a ruby red St. John gown, exuding power and grace, while her “Abbott Elementary” co-star Janelle James stunned in a black velvet Christian Siriano gown that was simply perfect. Zoe Kravitz also impressed in a black velvet Saint Laurent gown with a deep v-neck and a contrasting white sash, adding a touch of elegance to her look.
The Golden Globes red carpet showcased an array of stunning styles, making it a night to remember.
