Akris made quite an impression Sunday at Paris Fashion Week with their famous embroidery, elegant textiles, and stylish silhouettes. Albert Kriemler, the designer and grandson of Akris founder Alice Kriemler Schoch, showcased his talent for dressing women in a graceful and practical way, beautifully emphasizing the feminine form.
The show took place in a delightful floral red setting accompanied by a percussion ensemble with a pianist, flutist, and drummer, creating a magical atmosphere. Kriemler drew his inspiration from the late textile, wallpaper, and craft designer Felice “Lizzi” Rix-Ueno after discovering her work at the MAK Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna. Her artistic touch was evident throughout the Akris Spring 2024 collection with bold prints and hand-painted designs.
The collection included vibrant colors and models dressed in all-white ensembles like white embroidered jacket and skirt sets, as well as white organza blazers. Metallic elements also made a subtle appearance, hinting at the silver futuristic trends for Spring 2024. Akris skillfully mixed prints, creating garments with straight and asymmetrical lines, perfect for adventurous safaris, nights out, or stylish museum visits.
The runway was full of head-turning moments with models strutting in fringe dresses, skirts, and tank tops. Akris added depth to their pieces with various uses of silk fringe. Examining the garments up close revealed Akris’s dedication to detail through double face stitching and luxurious high-quality fabrics.
Akris has truly mastered the art of elegance in a refined and intricate way, capturing everyone’s attention with their innovative and boundary-pushing designs.
