Beyonce, who was the best-dressed of the night in a stunning gold custom Schiaparelli dress, was thrilled and overjoyed to receive the prestigious award. She also made history as the first black woman to win the “Best Country Album” award for Cowboy Carter.
Blue Ivy, who looks just like her parents Beyonce and Jay-Z, wore a beautiful royal purple Naeem Khan gown that made her look like a princess. She paired the gown with a diamond necklace, an embellished bracelet, and silver rings. Her hair had blonde highlights with goddess braids, and her makeup featured metallic eye shadow and a brown ombre lip.
On Fashion Bomb Daily’s Instagram, @Phillyjewel commented that she looked like a billionaire’s daughter, calling her “perfection, elegant and classy.” Another user, @thaschys_thalimits, said Blue is the perfect mix of her parents and looked very pretty.
At 13 years old, Blue was ecstatic for her mom and gave Beyonce a big hug when she won ‘Album of the Year.’ Blue has grown up seeing Beyonce work hard and constantly strive for excellence. She even shared the stage with her mom in the past year, so she knows how important this moment was for Beyonce.
Beyonce was also visibly moved, as she had never before won ‘Album of the Year’ despite holding the record for the most Grammy awards in history. Last year, during Jay-Z’s acceptance speech for the Dr. Dre Global Impact award, he pointed out that Beyonce had the most Grammys but had yet to win this particular award. Now, a year later, Beyonce has finally broken that barrier.
