Happy Friday!
I recently took a trip to Paris for the Olympics and while I was there, I visited Official Honey Hand, an amazing hairstylist from London who is great at creating natural-looking short wigs. My own hair is in that awkward ‘in-between’ stage of growing out (those who’ve had perfect platinum pixie cuts will understand). Basically, about two months after dying your hair, it starts growing out a lot. You might think about dyeing it again, but usually, it’s still too short, and you’ll have to wait another month to get it done again. It’s just not the cutest phase, so I decided to give wigs a try.
After a 2.5-hour train ride, a couple of Uber trips, and 4 hours in Honey Hand’s chair, I had a new look. It’s going to take some getting used to, but I guess I was ready for some change. Honey Hand (her real name is Hannah) and I teamed up on a post that has already garnered almost 3.6 million views and 40,000 likes!
Looks like I’ll be sticking with wigs this Fall! My natural hair has suffered from all the platinum, so I’m planning to focus on restoring its health and using protective styles like wigs and braids again. If you’re interested in having me wear your hair brand and collaborating on a viral post, shoot an email to book@clairesulmers.com.
