If you haven’t heard of Bois Camp, you’re really missing out. Fashion designer Kevon has made a name for himself by creating clothes specifically for the ‘It Girls,’ and his pieces have been seen on celebrities like Kash Doll, the Clermont Twins, and Jayda Cheaves. Bois Camp offers a range of fashion items including skirts, custom gowns, and swimwear, blending vintage charm with luxury and a high dose of sex appeal.
Kevon was born and raised in the inner city of Trenton, New Jersey. He discovered his passion for fashion early on and started his career at just 16 while attending VoTec High School. After completing his bachelor’s degree in fashion marketing management, he set out to make his mark in the fashion world. Now 27, Kevon’s designs, like the daring “butt cleavage” trend, show he’s not afraid to take risks, helping Bois Camp stand out from other brands.
Some people might consider his designs a passing trend, but Kevon continuously reinvents himself, proving he’s only getting better with time. He’s inspired by industry pioneers like Ye, Jean Paul Gaultier, Robert Cavalli, and Mowala—designers who aren’t afraid to break the rules. Kevon hopes to collaborate with some of these icons someday.
Currently, he’s focused on releasing collections that make ‘It Girls’ feel sexy and confident. His creative vision has turned Bois Camp into a safe space for women to embrace and express their inner sexy with no apologies, as seen in his most recent collection, which was inspired by the Weekend. Kevon says he enjoyed creating these fun and artistic pieces.
After launching Bois Camp in 2020, the brand has quickly gained momentum thanks to Kevon’s hard work and dedication. In his words, his brand has taught him to be the best version of himself. He believes that in five years, Bois Camp will be the go-to brand for those who truly understand themselves and want to express it through their clothing. He also has plans to introduce men’s and unisex pieces so that everyone can feel sexy and confident.
Kevon, as a Black man in the fashion industry, encourages others to never give up on their dreams. His advice to fellow Black male designers is to stay persistent because there’s room for everyone to succeed.
