Designer Sergio Hudson drew inspiration from the iconic Inkwell Beach on Martha’s Vineyard for his Spring 2024 collection, which he showcased in Los Angeles. Known for his show-stopping presentations at New York Fashion Week, this was his debut at LA Fashion Week. The collection suited LA’s warmer climate, featuring a wide range of colors including creamy whites and camels, all in fresh and timeless silhouettes.
Hudson mentioned that he aimed to create pieces that were airy and lightweight but still maintained the brand’s signature structure. He used luxurious silk fabrics for his midi dresses and incorporated silk charmeuse, stretch cotton, denim, and Italian eyelet throughout the collection.
At the event, Fashion Bomb CEO Claire Sulmers, who now lives in Los Angeles, walked the red carpet in an aqua blue ensemble from the Sergio Hudson Collection. Her outfit included a long sleeve turtleneck top, a wrap skirt, and a modern trench coat, all by Sergio Hudson. She completed the look with matching stockings and clear heels.
Sulmers had the opportunity to chat with fashion icon Bethann Hardison, whom she had recently celebrated at an event for Hardison’s film “Invisible Beauty.” She also connected with other fashion insiders including Ciarra Pardo, legendary Damon, Shannon Thornton, and Margie Plus.
The runway show featured some stunning new styles, and attendees enjoyed a cocktail hour afterward. The event highlighted Hudson’s exceptional design talent and provided a fantastic platform for mingling and idea exchange among fashion enthusiasts.
