The VMAs went off with a bang this past week at New Jersey’s Prudential Center, and Nicki Minaj proved to be the perfect host, with the most #1 rap songs in US iTunes history. The event was filled with spectacular and unforgettable moments. Minaj showcased her performing arts skills in a theatrical performance, while Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion took the stage together. Diddy not only performed but also received the Global Icon award with his kids by his side.

The pink carpet was also a highlight, with celebrities showcasing fabulous looks. Yung Miami stunned everyone in a designer outfit by Han Kjobenhavn, and the legendary Mary J. Blige impressed with a beaded and feathered creation by Albina Dyla. Cardi B wore a silver futuristic outfit that matched the VMA’s trophy, “the moon man.” Saweetie turned heads in a pink crystal gown by Area, designed to look like it was held together by two skeleton bones.

Sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey made their VMA debut, with Chloe in a blue patched Roberto Cavalli gown and Halle in a citrusy orange chiffon gown by Le Thanh Hoa. There are rumors that Halle might be expecting a baby with her boyfriend DDG, fueled by the silhouette of her dress.
