James Katsipis, a well-known fine art photographer from the Hamptons, is set to bring more natural beauty to Montauk this summer. On May 23, he will open his own gallery, James Katsipis Photography.
Katsipis expressed his excitement about this long-awaited dream of opening a gallery in his hometown of Montauk. Located at 742 Montauk Highway near the Montauk Chamber of Commerce, the gallery will showcase his remarkable fine art and photography. Visitors can expect a new art series every two months, featuring stunning sunsets, ocean scenes, and more. Additionally, the gallery offers custom large-scale acrylic pieces and prints in a specially curated shop that includes unique items like custom skateboards and surfboards. Katsipis will also host photography seminars and private explorations of Montauk.
To celebrate his gallery’s opening, Katsipis is introducing a special project: a limited-edition Zine inspired by his experiences in Montauk and his “Graintauk” analog film series. This exclusive Zine will only be available for purchase at the gallery, and the first 50 buyers will receive a signed, limited-edition print.
