The Coronavirus has completely changed our world, with officials urging everyone to stay at home to prevent spreading this highly contagious disease. Since I already work from home, my daily routine hasn’t changed much, but the cancellation of social events has left me with extra free time.
In challenging times, I always look for the positive side. While the threat of the virus is serious, being isolated gives us a chance to keep busy and stay positive.
For me, 2020 was packed with frequent travels, late nights, and little sleep. Now, I can focus on long-term goals. We still have two major events planned for this year: our NYFW show on September 12th and the Faby’s on December 12th. This time around, I’m determined to plan meticulously and ensure everything goes smoothly.
2. Take on those tasks you’ve been avoiding
I’ve been wanting to start my podcast, “Convos with Claire,” for months but kept finding excuses. Now is the perfect time to launch those projects that have been on your mind. There’s no better place than here, and no better time than now.
3. Be Creative!
When was the last time you updated your blog, YouTube channel, or website? It’s probably been a while. I haven’t updated “The Bomb Life” in at least two weeks, but that’s changing now. Start writing, vlogging, and creating content that you love.
4. Care for Your Hair
I often wear wigs for various events, which has taken a toll on my scalp and edges. With this downtime, I’ve started focusing on my natural hair’s health using protective styles and products like Kreyol Essence. I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
5. Relax and Enjoy Some TV
I just finished watching “The Circle” on Netflix and loved “Love is Blind” before that. Take this time to enjoy shows you’ve missed or learn something new on YouTube. Keep your mind engaged and happy!
The Coronavirus is intimidating because it’s so unpredictable, so make sure to take proper precautions. Wash your hands, use hand sanitizer, and stay safe, everyone.
Love & Light!
