On Sunday, Place Vendôme transformed into a magical scene as Vogue World: Paris showcased a notable blend of modern and historic Parisian fashion. Vogue World is a major live event celebrating Vogue’s cultural impact, drawing celebrities and influencers who immersed themselves in the spectacular show featuring unforgettable performances.
Anna Wintour, Vogue’s Global Editorial Director and Condé Nast’s Chief Content Officer, confidently kicked off the event in a floral Chanel maxi dress, exuding her signature style. Earlier this year, Wintour shared her vision for the event, describing it as a grand opening ceremony celebrating a century of fashion and sport, as well as the charm of Paris.
With the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics, the show incorporated various sports like gymnastics, tennis, fencing, and cycling, all choreographed beautifully by renowned dancer Parris Goebel. Creative Director Teyana Taylor added energy and drama to the stage with her exceptional dance moves, wearing a striking Paco Rabanne metal and embellished dress. Her fencer back-up dancers delivered a unique and radical performance.
Ciara, who recently welcomed her third child, dazzled in a custom Givenchy dress featuring a gold sequined bodysuit paired with a lime green chiffon cape and skirt, shining against the clear blue sky. In contrast, singer Katy Perry wore an intricately designed 3-D black and blush dress by Noir Kei Ninomiya, presenting a progressive look.
