Candis Grace has done it again! Last Thursday, she celebrated the 10th anniversary of “A Toast to Black Hollywood” in Los Angeles, honoring the achievements of black talent across various industries. This event fostered a sense of community where black visionaries and philanthropists were acknowledged and supported for their contributions.

Kicking off the BET weekend, the event witnessed A-listers gracing the black carpet in true Hollywood fashion. Gail Bean stunned in a white tweed blazer set paired with creme pointed-toe boots and gold accessories, while her best friend Malcolm Mays rocked a 70’s inspired navy blue suit complemented by Prada wingtip platform espadrilles. Meagan Good dazzled in a shimmery black gown with a high slit and glossy black sandals, and Kamie Crawford turned heads in a sleek black outfit from NBD.

For the black-tie cocktail mixer, honoree Tristan Mack Wilds opted for a casual look with a ‘Mark of Maturity’ jacket, Wrangler pants, and Prada loafers. Celebrity stylist and Creative Director Bryon Javar caught everyone’s attention in a red monochromatic outfit, topped off with a bold red hat inspired by June Ambrose. The woman of the hour, Candis Grace, wowed the crowd in a nude Fatima crystal corset maxi dress from Miss Circle online boutique.

The evening honored several distinguished individuals, including Meagan Good, Tristan Mack Wilds, comedian Affion Crockett, TV host Kamie Crawford, creative director and stylist Bryon Javar, actor Malcolm Mays, actor/producer Kareem Grimes, UBS Managing Director Melissa Van Patten-Henderson, TV personality and philanthropist Guerdy Abraira, creative director Laurieann Gibson, and TV host Scott Evans.

Candis Grace shared her vision of creating a space for mutual recognition and celebration. Meagan Good dedicated her award to her mother, acknowledging her lifelong sacrifices and influence. The night also featured an unforgettable performance by singer MAJOR, who captivated the audience with his powerful vocals.

“A Toast to Black Hollywood” by Candis Grace was the perfect prelude to the 2024 BET Awards, truly setting the tone for ‘Culture’s Biggest Night.’
