Balmain Spring/Summer 2025: Paris in Full Bloom

Balmain Spring/Summer 2025: Paris in Full Bloom

Oh, the sacrifices we make for fashion! On Wednesday evening in Paris, rain poured down as cars crawled around Place du Trocadero. Despite the nasty weather, dedicated fans gathered outside a venue near the Eiffel Tower, eager to see their favorite stars from the Balmain Army. Celebrities like Anitta, Cardi B, Brooklyn Beckham, and even the First Lady of France managed to get inside looking flawless. Anitta joked backstage about her dress being so tight she could barely breathe.

The show itself was a pleasant break from the dreary weather, with “Je T’aime” or “I Love You” playing repeatedly over the loudspeakers. The first outfits featured sparkly red lips, as if to kiss the pain away. Following those were dresses adorned with feminine faces and shifts with iconic Parisian stripes, elevated and embellished in true Balmain fashion.

Balmain’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection was more practical than usual. Sharp-shouldered blazers in black were paired stylishly with silk blouses and tailored wool and leather pants. Tote bags, cinched closed with belts, are sure to become the next must-have for work. The collection had vibrant touches with red sequined gowns and blush pink dresses, with the latter closing the show in a flurry of rose-hued silk dresses that any fashion fan would love.

Lengths varied from mostly mini to a few floor-length gowns. The color palette included black, gold, white, pink, and red. Fabrics ranged from suede and silk to sequins and metal. The designs emphasized hourglass shapes with strong shoulders and pronounced hips, while accessories featured gold belts, gold-tipped heels, fold-over boots, and gold necklaces. Inspired by Balmain lipstick tubes, eyeshadow palettes, and fragrance bottles, the accessories added a unique touch.
