He shared that at the age of 14, his mother left him with the powerful message, “if you don’t work, you don’t eat,” which sparked his drive to succeed.
Despite facing various challenges, Law didn’t let them hold him back. He found solace in fashion and spent a lot of time thrifting with his grandmother. He explained that his book is about becoming an icon in whatever you do, with clothes and fashion being tools to boost confidence.
During the talk, Law also reminisced about meeting Kanye West at his Chicago store in 2009. This encounter was a turning point, as it attracted global attention and made him realize that styling could be a viable career. Since then, Law’s career has soared, and he now works with major stars like Zendaya, Celine Dion, and Megan Thee Stallion. His collaboration with Zendaya, in particular, has been pivotal, as he saw something special in her right from their first meeting when she was just 13.
