Fashion Rewind: Destiny's Child's OG Members Dazzle in Silver at Beyoncé's Renaissance Show

Beyoncé’s highly-praised Renaissance World Tour is wrapping up on October 1st, and what better way to end it than with the original Destiny’s Child members making an appearance to show their support?

Even without them, the tour would still be spectacular, but seeing LaToya Luckett, LaTavia Roberson, and Kelly Rowland—who began Destiny’s Child with Beyoncé—had to be a full-circle moment for her. Beyoncé went solo in 2003, debuting with her album “Dangerously in Love.”

Destiny’s Child first burst onto the scene in 1998 with their self-titled album released by Columbia Records. It sold over a million copies in the US, with their hit song “No, No, No” topping the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop single chart.

Despite their rapid success, the group split in 2000. Roberson has mentioned to People magazine that she found out she was no longer in the group when the “Say My Name” video aired, showing herself and Luckett replaced by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin. Although there’s always multiple sides to a story, it seems they’ve moved past old conflicts.

For the tour, Luckett rocked a silver corset and a black cowboy hat, while Roberson stunned in a black lace catsuit paired with diamond earrings. Alongside them, Farrah Franklin and Michelle Williams also dropped by to witness Beyoncé’s performance. Franklin, who left the group after just a few months, showed up in a black two-piece crystal corset and pants, and Williams wore a black crop top with rhinestone fringe under a silver sequin blazer. Rowland glittered in a dazzling silver top.

It was heartwarming to see all the former Destiny’s Child members unite at the Houston stop of the tour to support Beyoncé. Who knows, maybe a few years down the road we’ll see a reunion tour. It’s probably wise to start saving up just in case!
