Famous for their unique embroidery, refined textiles, and chic silhouettes, Akris put on quite a show during Paris Fashion Week. Designer Albert Kriemler, the grandson of Akris founder Alice Kriemler-Schoch, showcased his talent for dressing women in a way that elegantly highlights their form.
The show featured a floral red backdrop and a live percussion ensemble with a pianist, flutist, and drummer, setting the mood for an artistic journey. Kriemler drew inspiration from the late designer Felice “Lizzi” Rix-Ueno, whose work he discovered at the MAK Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna. This influence was evident in the bold prints and hand-painted details of the Akris Spring 2024 collection.
Besides vibrant colors, models wore all-white monochromatic outfits, including white embroidered jacket and skirt sets and white organza blazers. Metallics, particularly silver hues, also made a fashionable appearance on the runway, hinting at a futuristic trend for Spring 2024.
Akris skillfully mixed prints, combining straight and asymmetrical lines to create outfits suitable for a safari, a night out, or a stylish museum visit. Models turned heads in fringe dresses, skirts, and tank tops, adding depth and movement with silk fringe details.
Examining the construction of each garment, it was clear that Akris pays great attention to detail with double-face stitching and luxurious, high-quality fabrics. Akris stands out for their mastery of elegance and intricate design, making them a standout in the fashion world.
