Beyonce, who topped our best-dressed list in a stunning custom gold Schiaparelli dress, was thrilled to accept the prestigious award. She also made history as the first black woman to win the “Best Country Album” award for Cowboy Carter.
Blue Ivy, who looks just like her parents, Beyonce and Jay-Z, looked gorgeous in a royal purple Naeem Khan gown that made her look like a princess for this special night. She completed her look with a diamond necklace, an embellished bracelet, and silver rings. Her goddess braids had blonde highlights, and her makeup featured metallic eyeshadow and a brown ombre lip.
In Fashion Bomb Daily’s Instagram post, @Phillyjewel commented on Blue’s look, calling her “perfection, elegant and classy,” and @thaschys_thalimits said she is the “perfect combination of her parents” and looked beautiful. The 13-year-old was ecstatic for her mom and hugged Beyonce tightly as she won ‘Album of the Year.’ Blue has seen her mother work incredibly hard to achieve greatness and knows how important this moment was for her.
Beyonce, who had never won ‘Album of the Year’ despite holding the record for the most Grammy awards, had a special glint in her eye during the announcement. Last year, during Jay-Z’s acceptance speech for the Dr. Dre Global Impact award, he pointed out that Beyonce had more Grammys than anyone else but had never received this particular honor. A year later, Beyonce has finally broken that barrier.
