With a fashionista family background, Hudson’s rise began by winning Bravo TV’s “Style to Rock” in 2013, turning his brand into a household name.
Christian Siriano, renowned for dressing Hollywood’s elite, became famous after winning Project Runway’s fourth season in 2007. Originally from Maryland, Siriano honed his skills under Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen in London. He launched his own collection in 2008, beloved by celebrities like Zendaya and Lady Gaga. Known for his mastery of tulle and impeccable tailoring, Siriano remains influential worldwide.
LaQuan Smith is the go-to designer for sexy, innovative fashion. This Queens native has dressed stars like Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and the Kardashians. He’s been a CFDA member since 2021 and was nominated for CFDA’s “Designer of the Year” in 2022. Smith’s designs, characterized by striking cutouts and glam, are manufactured in New York.
Olivier Rousteing has revitalized Balmain with his modern, detail-oriented touch since becoming its Creative Director in 2011. Known for infusing French Couture finesse, his designs have adorned stars like Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, and Nicki Minaj, making Balmain a standout brand.
Kwame Adusei is shaking up the fashion industry with his electrifying designs. After moving to Los Angeles, he gained popularity and launched his collection in 2021. His provocative, elegant designs are a hit with celebrities like Chloe Bailey and Kylie Jenner. Adusei recently opened his store in Beverly Hills, making his stunning creations widely accessible.
Charles Harbison stands out with his sustainable approach, using vintage textiles and eco-friendly fabrics. Originally from North Carolina, Harbison now creates bold, futuristic designs in Los Angeles. His eveningwear, characterized by ruching, draping, and vibrant color-blocking, shows his exceptional craftsmanship.
Hanifa is a luxury brand founded by Anifa Mvuemba, a self-taught designer originally from Kenya. She’s dressed stars like Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé. Hanifa’s first runway show in 2021 received great reviews, and Mvuemba continues to make waves with her skillful and forward-thinking designs.
Bishme Cromartie wowed the judges on Bravo TV’s Project Runway All-Stars. His beautifully crafted designs won him the series despite personal challenges. Cromartie, designing since the age of 8, impresses with modern, thought-provoking garments worn by celebs like Michelle Williams and Chloe Bailey.
Gaurav Gupta is renowned for his avant-garde ensembles. Originally from India, Gupta’s sculptural silhouettes and intricate embellishments have made him a favorite of stars like Cardi B and Beyoncé. He specializes in couture, menswear, and bridal wear, demonstrating his versatile talent.
