At the 30th Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans, the Mielle Organics ‘Beauty Con’ booth invited hair enthusiasts to explore the innovative ‘Mielleverse.’ Founder Monique Rodriguez, a familiar face at Essence Fest, came back this year with an even more impressive pop-up shop.
The booth featured personalized beauty tips and celebrity endorsements of Mielle Organics products. Throughout the weekend, Rodriguez, who transitioned from RN to CEO, showcased her stylish wardrobe. She wore outfits like a black and white Dolce & Gabbana polka dot mini dress and a vibrant fuchsia pink Bronx & Banco lace runway look, making a statement as always.
Rapper and songwriter Lady London also attended and was interviewed by Fashion Bomb’s correspondent Sheek about her outfit. The New York native donned a Dsquared choker and a top by African designer Kwame Adusei, paired with Rene Caovilla shoes. In contrast to Lady London’s black and white look, singer Letoya Luckett shined in a multicolored Cynthia Rowley dress and clear yellow pumps.
Matching Luckett’s vibrant style, the Fashion Bomb CEO was also present at the Mielle pop-up shop, wearing a nude sequined Staud dress with her signature finger waves. She enjoyed the event alongside Luckett, Lance Gross, and others.
