Kim Shui’s Fall ’24 collection, showcased at Irving Plaza on Friday, was all about being original, eccentric, and unconventional, celebrating the ‘Year of the Dragon’ for Lunar New Year.
The 34-piece collection featured many dragon-inspired elements, using materials like leather, snakeskin, and creating architectural silhouettes. Shui stayed true to her style with her signature lace, mixed prints, and touches of fur.
She had fun with bold colors like lime green and hot pink, introduced sleeves that wrapped around the arms and legs, and added textured gloves where needed.
The accessories were also eye-catching, with models sporting Poppy Lissiman and Akila sunglasses, as well as strappy and fur heels that added an avant-garde flair.
